Red Wings Alumni to Hold Charity Game for Fallen Police Officer

The Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association in partnership with the Joe Kocur Foundation for Children will be hosting a charity hockey game at Compuware Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. The game will be held December 21 at 7:15 PM, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the family of fallen West Bloomfield, Michigan police officer Patrick O' Rourke.

The former Red Wings who will be playing include Joe Kocur, Kirk Maltby, Darren McCarty, Kris Draper, Dino Ciccarelli, Larry Murphy, Igor Larionov, Chris Osgood, Chris Chelios, Jiri Fischer, John Ogrodnick, and Mickey Redmond. Ted Lindsay and Bill Gadsby will serve as honorary coaches.

Various local law enforcement personnel will be participating in the event, and Detroit's own Karen Newman will be on hand to sing the national anthem.
