The Detroit Red Wings have recalled winger Tomas Tatar and goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Tatar has tallied 39 points (19 goals, 20 assists) for the Griffins in 44 games this season. He will play on the second line with Pavel Datsyuk and Valtteri Filppula Tuesday against Calgary.

Todd Bertuzzi will move to the third line as the Wings are looking for offense from their bottom six forwards, who have all combined for one assist this season.

Mrazek has posted a 16-7-1 record with a 2.26 GAA and a .916 save percentage for the Griffins this season. He played in the AHL's all star game, and recorded his first career shutout Saturday in a game against Abbotsford. He will serve as the backup to Jimmy Howard, and could possibly make his debut this week, per Red Wings GM Ken Holland.

"Somebody is going to play a game this week besides Howard," Holland said. Maybe it's Jonas, maybe it's Joey (MacDonald), maybe it's Mrazek."

Jonas Gustavsson, the Wings' primary backup, remains out with a groin injury. Joey MacDonald has been out with a back injury. Despite skating this week, MacDonald has yet to be cleared to play.

The Wings also re-assisgned goaltender Tom McCollum to the Griffins. McCollum did not play while he was on the Red Wings' active roster.
